"David, I take it that you are rendering the AutoCAD window by clicking on the little green car icon on the nXt dialog box. For what you are attempting to do, you should be using the walkabout feature in which you can select your resolution and have…"

"The amount of physical RAM can impact performance.  It has nothing to do with crashing due running out of address space."

"The 3GB switch increases allowable paging file space to 3 GB. This does not have anything to do with ram. 32 but systems have a limitation on paging file space at 2GB. The 3GB switch forces a 32 bit system to recognise 3GB of paging file space. If…"

Ros. Riha replied to David Austin's discussion What is the NXT Animation Process ?
"I do not quite understand - so foth it seemed RAM does matter... even the use of /3GB switch did help us on 32bit systems to prevent some of such crashes.   btw: 2GB is IMHO enough to turn the computer on, not enough for CAD"

Roy Hirshkowitz replied to David Austin's discussion What is the NXT Animation Process ?
"Nothing to do with how much RAM you have.  If this is a 32bit system you may be exceeding address space limitations if the model is large-- again nothing to do with physical RAM."
